March 9th 4:30pm-7pm & March 10th 2pm-4:30pm
A multi-day straps extravaganza! Join Sebastian for a deep dive into technique, sequences, and tricks. Students will work on long-term skills such as switches, one-arm inversions, dynamic swinging skills, and roll-ups, including learning how to train and progress toward them effectively and safely. We’ll also have fun with some Sebastian-original straps choreography and movement quality. Come in ready to train hard, take notes, and explore another side of aerial straps.
Prerequisites: Ability to invert consecutively unassisted on any apparatus, spinning on 2 arms, & familiarity with straps or similar aerial experience.
About Sebastian:
Sebastian is one of the founders and co-owner of Celeste Aerial Arts located in Detroit, Michigan. He started off as a martial artist in 2003 and began teaching after he obtained his black belt in 2008. Martial arts has given him an understanding of the body and awareness that easily translated to aerials.
He found his passion for rope and straps and developed his own teaching style based on dynamic movement and technique. His goal has been to bring both of these apparatuses into the spotlight in the Detroit area.
